After more than a year in the making, I’m proud to have been involved in New Zealand Stories of Regeneration – A Film — this is a powerful exploration of the people, places and principles at the heart of Aotearoa’s regenerative agriculture movement.
I worked with Ata Regenerative who supports farmers across New Zealand to restore land health through evidence-based regenerative practices like Holistic Planned Grazing and Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV). The film highlights the growing momentum behind this movement and the urgent need for change.
This isn’t just a film — it’s a call to action. By reconnecting with the land, with our farmers, our food, and each other, we unlock the power of regeneration. It’s about restoring vitality to our soil, resilience to our communities, and hope for future generations. Ata was established to bring health to our agricultural systems through regenerative design.
“As an organic farmer living off the land – I recognise the importance of restoring the soil. I also work to create a full circle of abundance in my farm and horticultural system, to enable both us and the natural world to flourish.” GAYLENE BARNES
